2025 Engineers Week: Celebrating engineers, technicians, and technologists
This year, Engineers Week runs February 16-22.

Founded by NSPE in 1951, Engineers Week, or #EWeek2025, is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
Each year, a group of over 70 educational, engineering, and cultural groups, as well as corporate and government agencies, dedicate a week to positively encouraging the next generation to take interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) study and careers.
Teachers and volunteers in STEM fields are encouraged to connect through in-person and online events. A few suggested volunteering opportunities include:
- Visit a classroom or afterschool program to share your expertise.
- Watch Chats with Change Makers. Introduce students to different engineers and technicians each month.
- Host an engineering event and lead hands-on engineering activities with students.
Key messages they encourage every Engineers Week volunteer to share:
- Engineering is open to everyone
- Engineering is a well-paying profession
- Engineering makes a difference in people’s lives
This year volunteers and educators are encouraged to talk with students about modern and up-and-coming technologies and how the next generation can make their mark.
“The 2025 Engineers Week theme, “Design Your Future,” is both a call to action and a celebration of the limitless possibilities in engineering. It invites us to dream boldly, innovate relentlessly, and create a future shaped by our collective ingenuity.”
