Continuing Education Opportunities with ARWA Apprenticeship Program & Events 2025
Alabama Rural Water Association has created a program to benefit water & wastewater employees and employers alike with their ongoing CEH courses, apprenticeships, and certification training.
As ARWA put it in their newsletter: ” Employers get incentives and find the next round of workers in the industry. Apprentices get support and earn while they learn while building a career in the industry.”
The program offers several no-cost, in-person Continuing Education Hours events. Several are coming up soon! You can see all the details on ARWA’s dedicated Apprenticeship Program website. If you are interested, be sure to register so the organizers can stay in touch, since dates and times are subject to change.
There are also multi-session full Certification courses available. Currently posted options range between $400-$600 for the full course and cover water and wastewater certification. These courses are fully online, but they caution that you must attend all sessions to receive credit.
In addition to a robust program of pre-defined educational offerings, ARWA encourages businesses to reach out for custom training. Businesses and municipal utilities can take advantage of the 40+ years of professional experience the group has to offer on everything from managing regulations to implementing new treatment processes.
On top of all that, ARWA is holding two conference events this year. Their 47th Annual Technical Training Conference, and the Gulf Coast Technical Training Conference.
