This March, all around the world, water and wastewater events will host professionals from across the industry to share insights and technology, and discuss the approaches and policies that shape the future of the water & wastewater industry.

Aquatech Amsterdam & more water and wastewater events in 2025

Coming up in just 4 more days is Aquatech Amsterdam. One of several international Aquatech conferences, Aquatech Amsterdam bills itself as “the world’s leading expo for process, drinking, and wastewater.” With 900 exhibitors from over 140 countries, it seems hard to argue!

Also on March 11, Aquatech is hosting their Aquatech Innovation Forum. This one-day intensive focuses on hot technological topics and discussions aimed at CTOs, investors, entrepreneurs, and other tech-focused thought leaders in the water and wastewater technology space. There’s also an invitation-only Integrated Leaders Forum on that day.

If you don’t have enough time to chart a flight to the Netherlands, don’t worry. Aquatech will be hosting two more international events later this year.

Aquatech Mexico – September 2-4 – Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City
Aquatech China – November 5-7 – Shanghai New International Exhibition Center, Shanghai

WateReuse Symposium – March 16-19, Tampa, FL

A little closer to home for US-based wastewater professionals is the WateReuse Symposium in Tampa. On March 16th, they kick off their 40th year! This event is 4 days of workshops, technical sessions, networking, and industry recognition events. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Turning the Tide Toward Water Reuse” and, as it has for 40 years, remains focused on supporting water recycling technologies and policies.

ARWA 47th Annual Technical Training Conference – March 16-19, Montgomery, AL

Also starting March 16th is the Alabama Rural Water Association Annual Technical Training conference. This is a large networking event for the region, with 40 speakers, 160 exhibit spaces, and multiple focused networking and award events. There are also up to 30 continuing education hours available for attending.

Texas Water Conference – March 18-21, Houston, TX

Put on by Texas American Water Works Association, this conference features technical sessions, competitions, networking events, awards, and an exhibit hall. A highlight of this year’s event is the Curtis Smalley Environmental Event, honoring Smalley’s legacy of dedication to the environment and service to the water industry. In partnership with the Houston Parks Department, they will plant wildflowers and prairie grasses in Clinton Park, near Downtown Houston. Speakers, networking, and the very latest in water and wastewater technology and infrastructure designs. Each day has multiple events sure to have areas of interest. A few examples:

ACWA Legislative Symposium – March 26, Sacramento, CA

This one-day event brings together California water professionals to discuss critical water use issues and approaches for 2025 and beyond. The two key focuses will be “What’s On Tap: Exploring Which Water Issues Will Dominate the 2025 Session” and California wildfires. Discussions will be held from 1PM-5PM with networking to follow until 7PM.
