Caroline Dunkel will represent the team at SediVision as the firm participates for the first time at WaterJAM 2024. WaterJAM is the joint annual meeting of the Virginia Water Environment Association and the Virginia Section of the American Waterworks Association

Hosted September 9-12, 2024, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, WaterJAM provides opportunities for exhibitors, participation in service projects, area facility tours, networking, and a series of information-packed workshops and presentations.

Caroline Dunkel will present on September 11 at 9:30 AM in Room 2A in the Convention Center. She’ll provide a deep dive into two (2) case studies for grit accumulation assessment in wastewater treatment tanks in Lee County, Florida, and in Jacksonville, Florida. Wastewater Operator Credit is typically available for most attendees.

KEY Presentation Concepts: Many utilities have no idea how much grit, sand, and debris, may have accumulated in their wastewater tanks or other wastewater infrastructure. Traditional strategies for assessment include manually probing the tank, which is highly inaccurate and limited to physical reach, or sending divers into the tanks, a process that has multiple limitations and safety risks. For the first time, thanks to SediVision®technology, utilities operators and managers can gain precise mapping of the debris accumulated in their tanks, positioning them to make informed and strategic decisions about cleaning and other maintenance, potentially increasing energy efficiency and saving substantially on energy, chemicals, and wear and tear on infrastructure.
